Harley Quinn Author Writes Biker Master Piece

By L.J. James

When I received the Novel "Iron Horse Rider" from the Author Adelle "Legs" Laudan I have to admit I was expecting a book about a Biker fighting and causing trouble. You know your Typical Biker Bad Boy Story. What I received was something I was not expecting at all.

The Novel Tells the story of a hardcore biker named Shane, Shane had always kept women at arms length and showed them no emotion, That was until he met Kelly. Try as he might this biker who had always kept to himself could not fight off his feelings for her and soon found himself Married to the Women of his dreams.

After 10 years of Marriage Kelly is taken from Shane in a Tragic accident while they are Ridding. Shane finds everything around him reminds him of Kelly, His home, his shop, even his Clubhouse. His Brother's try to Support and comfort him, but the looks of sorrow in their eyes for him is more then Shane can bare. He soon realizes staying in the world He has Known and loved is not an option. Soon Shane is on his Iron Horse with the wind in his face and no destination! As Shane rides He finds the pain he feels for his loss begin to lessen!

With advice from a Mysterious Biker he keeps running into, Shane finds himself at a Micmac Indian Camp. Shane is welcomed into the Camp by the Tribes Chief and soon finds himself becoming Friends with the Chief's Daughter Tia who has recently lost her Husband! While the two Share their pain they soon begin to feel something for each other. Is it possible for either of them to feel love again while still suffering from such a great loss? A member of Tia's Tribe is taking no chances and tells Shane to stay away from Tia. He soon finds out you never tell a Biker like Shane what to do!

I found the writing in this novel while in no way simplistic was easy to read. I also found the story easy to follow ! Adelle "Legs" Laudan describes and expresses the feelings of Biker Brotherhood perfectly. When She explains Shane's feelings while Riding you can see in your mind where he is and you can almost feel the wind in your Face!

In life we all have our worlds we live in, When something Terrible happens sometimes We cling to what We know. Shane does what He as a true Biker must after such a terrible loss, He goes out and finds not only a new life but a new World to live in for a while.

I have to say I enjoyed the story. It was not what I was expecting or would usually read but I found I could not put the book down. I think some Men who Ride will enjoy this book, While many I feel will find it a little too much of a Romance novel! I do believe almost all Women who has ever ridden a Motorcycle or dated a Man who rode one will love this Novel.

As I know now Adelle "Legs" Laudan is a writer of Motorcycle Romance Novels, She works to promote the image of Motorcycling one book at a time! How To Locate Art Dealers That Can Help You Build Your Art Collection

By Dorothy Ranger

Why Art Dealers Are Very Different Than Art Galleries

If you are interested in artwork, chances are that you have considered building a collection. There are differences between art galleries and art dealers and keeping these differences in mind can help you when deciding who you want to work with. Buying art, even for an investment, is as much a personal choice as it is a monetary investment. Here is a look at the difference between a gallery and a dealer and this may help you make the decision about which one you want to work with.

An art gallery can be a great way to learn about art, as can an art dealer. However, keep in mind that an art dealer often has a very focused viewpoint when it comes to artwork. A gallery can give you information about the esthetics of a piece while an art dealer will often focus more on the relative monetary worth of a particular piece. Consulting with both can give you a very well rounded perspective on artwork in general.

Art dealers often have websites that you can look at to get a feel for what they are offering. They may not often have prices listed but many sites will have glossary sections where you can learn a little about art in general. You should also visit galleries in your area to get acquainted with the local art scene and learn more about art as well.

One thing that you need to remember about building an art collection is that you should not choose pieces just for their value. Artwork is meant to be enjoyed so picking pieces just because you think that they are going to become valuable but that you do not like is a waste of money. This is true more of private art collections than it is of corporate art collections.

The choice of an art dealer over a gallery tends to be more obvious when building a corporate art collection. A corporate art collection is less about personal taste and more about conveying information about the company. A very traditional company is much less likely to fill offices and board rooms with very modern art. They are more interested in the value of the collection as well since artwork is often a sizable investment for a company. Many people will be viewing the pieces that are selected rather than enjoying it in the comfort and privacy of their home.

Magazines and the internet are two good sources for both art dealers and galleries. You should visit them, either online or in person in order to view the pieces in person. You should also realize that a gallery or dealer has more artwork on offer than those pieces that may be out on display. You may also want to make sure that you are looking at a dealer or a gallery that has pieces in a range of prices rather than just high end art. This can be especially true if you are purchasing pieces for a private collection, since a private collector may have less money to deal with than a corporation might.

You should also look at purchasing original artwork whenever possible. There are high quality prints and reproductions that can maintain or even increase their value, but they are rare. While reproductions can be very nice so that you can have a piece you might otherwise be unable to afford, there is nothing that can compare to original art.

You want to make sure that you find an art dealer that you work well with because chances are you will be working with them for quite some time. You may want to make sure that you are dealing with an art dealer rather than an art gallery. An art gallery tends to want to promote the artists they represent and may not be aware of the relative value and investment potential of artwork. An art dealer should have an idea about the art market and can give you advice that will help increase the value of your collection.

An art collection can be wonderful. It is a beautiful way for you to decorate your home and can become quite valuable over time. The only problem may be that when it comes time to sell the pieces on, you love them so much you won't want to see them go. - 30520

Wedding Shower Hosting Simple Guide

By Angela Crown

A bridal shower is usually a very special occasion for both the bride-to-be and her companions, since the "girls night" feeling is floating around all evening and that's the perfect start for this type of event.

Dealing with the whole event is a challenging issue if you consider the fact that you have to make everything fit together; that's why the first thing to do is to choose a theme for the party - since even the invitations should be accordingly. There are infinite ideas available, from a pajama party to a spa party or even a pizza one. Going for a "girls night out" may also be a good idea if your girls are fun and outgoing; but don't forget that some of them may want to go for a classic style party - and you want all the guests happy, don't you.

After choosing the theme, you should create the invitations accordingly and make sure they're sent out at least six weeks before the actual party night. Next you should choose and order the decorations (the moment you choose to order them is at your own free choice, but it's recommended that you have them prepared at least 2 weeks before the actual event).

Food and cakes are next - don't neglect them and don't settle for mediocrity. Also, the theme should still be your main concern when choosing them - since a pizza theme will surely dictate your menu for example; if you think it fits, you can always look for related poems to be recited.

An absolute must for any wedding shower are the games - since they can fill an empty moment with no problem and can help build connections between invites from different cultures. They can always cheer someone up and that's why when you feel like things aren't going into the right direction, just start a few games and the problem is solved.

In conclusion, hosting an excellent wedding shower is not very hard if you have a few important things on your mind and you do things with your best intentions. - 30520

Wedding Shower Hosting Simple Guide

By Angela Crown

There is no other special occasion that can be compared to a bridal shower; this type of event has that special "touch" that only a "girls event" can have, which creates the perfect premises for the perfect night for both the bride-to-be and her guests.

Dealing with the whole event is a challenging issue if you consider the fact that you have to make everything fit together; that's why the first thing to do is to choose a theme for the party - since even the invitations should be accordingly. Next you should choose and order the decorations (the moment you choose to order them is at your own free choice, but it's recommended that you have them prepared at least 2 weeks before the actual event).

Another very important aspect is the one concerning the food and cakes - which should also match the whole scenario. If the whole atmosphere allows you to, you could search some poems for being recited that evening.

Games shouldn't miss from any bridal shower, since they can definitely help overcome any cultural differences that may intervene. Another important benefit is that they can really cheer up any atmosphere, so they are a great party-saver in case things aren't going as planned; they can also fill empty times between conversations, so they're a must for any shower.

With all these being said and with a little effort on your side, there's noting to keep you from hosting the best wedding shower that everyone will remember for years. - 30520

Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions Through Carbon Credits

By Micheal Fisher

The dangerous levels of hazardous greenhouse gases such as CO2 in the atmosphere has led to global concern over the highly destructive effects they have on the environment. Carbon credits and carbon offset are methods that have been introduced for improving the present critical situation by encouraging companies to utilize greener methods for running their business.

The system of carbon credits is a recent phenomenon. One carbon credit allows discharge of one tonne of CO2 or a corresponding amount of some other greenhouse gas into the air. The carbon trading method, which is basically the financial transaction of these carbon credits, results in limiting of global emissions.

Each company is given an allowance of carbon credits, which governs the extent to which it can release CO2 and other greenhouse gases. Carbon trading is used when the organization's emissions exceed its quota of carbon credits, forcing it to purchase credits from other companies that have adopted more ecological ways of functioning and hence have carbon credits to spare.

As a consequence, the worldwide carbon emissions stay below permissible levels, and the companies resort to eco friendly ways of doing business so that their emissions are lesser and they are saved from making extra expenditure on carbon credits. This scheme is beneficial for organizations using eco friendly techniques to keep trying in this respect as they can make more profits from carbon credits trading.

Carbon credits can be bought like any other product as they are sold in an open market and there are various agencies that trade in them. In fact, even if you are not representing a company, you can choose to buy carbon credits in order to reduce your carbon footprint. The money you invest in this way is used for sponsoring ecological campaigns that are running across the world in order to counterbalance the effects of emissions from your actions. - 30520

Brides - Have More Say in What You Want for Your Bridal Shower

By Angela Crown

Friends and family enjoy Bridal showers because it is a last chance (along with the bachelorette party) to have time with the Bride while she is still single. The Bride normally has it planned for her and it is not always what she might want it to be.

Quite often there is not a lot of thought that goes into a Bridal shower, it goes along and things happen as they happen. It is a hard time for the Bride though as quite often there is an uncomfortable mix of family and friends, with friends finding it funny to give gifts of shocking panties while the Bride's grandmother is watching. The gifts are a weird mix of gags, risque and practical such as a set of glassware! This happens because the Bride has not sat down with the organizer and set a few ground rules for the event.

The organizer is usually the Bride's best friend and the Maid of Honor which means she would be quite happy to follow any wishes the Bride has. The Bride still wants it to be fun but not uncomfortable for her or any of her guests. This is an opportunity for guests to help the Bride in her new life with gifts that are of use.

Guests need to accept that if the Bride has asked that gifts be family friendly, this shower is not the time to offer up some crotchless panties. A lot of the time friends do not even get the Bride's size correct so even if some of it is wearable she can't because it is too small or too big!

As part of her job as organizer the Maid of Honor should mention gifts that are on the couple's wedding register; though it would be impolite to mention this in wedding invitations it is certainly acceptable to do for a Bridal Shower. She also needs to know from the Bride whether this is an adult only party or whether people can bring their children along. A lot of people want to be able to totally relax and let go which can not be done of their are babies or children there. Whichever way the Bride decides the Maid of Honor makes sure this message is given to all those guests invited that have children. - 30520

Make a Wedding Collage Using Wedding Photos

By Angela Crown

There are many creative possibilities when making a collage out of wedding photos. It can be a memento for yourself, guests from the wedding or memories to share with your family. Here are some ideas on how to go about this project.

If the collage is a gift for your parents maybe as a thank you to them think about what photos you are going to select for the collage. Do not just grab the left over photos that were not chosen for albums or frames. Collect together the images from guests and your photographer and think about your parents and what they would like to see, for example maybe a few friends and family. If it is for your grandparents you might think close family only. It is up to you but the selection so that there are not random strangers, is important.

Another nice idea if it is going to be an anniversary gift to your partner, is to collect pictures of you together that show your relationship developing. Old pictures of the first date, your first holiday together, wedding pictures, your first child and so on. When you gift it your partner will think it wonderful I promise, and you will both spend some precious moments together remembering the special times the photos depict.

Something more unusual to do would be to turn the collage into an activity and make a collage jigsaw puzzle! Then it is a great gift not just for adults but for children too. Just find an online service to upload your chosen photographs too like the first kiss, the first dance, cutting the cake and so on. They will then use them to make first a collage and then turn that collage into a puzzle of whatever size and difficulty you want. Usually prices run from eighty to two hundred and fifty dollars but this is something you will have to look into.

This is a crafting project you could do yourself but there are companies that can do a professional job for you. They have collages they have made for others available for you to view so you can see what your options are and then all you do is send them the digital photos you want them to use. If you have specific requests you let them know, otherwise they will come up with something for you.

Whatever you decide to do, do not throw away excess photos or just shove them in an album that never gets looked at! A collage makes a wonderful framed picture for anyone's house. - 30520

How to Write Poetry

By Dynal Thompson

The most popular style of our time is the 'free verse' style. This form originated in the late 19th century, with Walt Whitman being credited for it. Before this form was introduced, poetry was restricted to certain form.

Scansion is the analyzing of pattern, rhyme and meter in formal poetry. Commonly, a letter is placed at the end of the last word in each line. Usually starting with A then B and so on....

For example if the first two line rhyme with each other, their letters would be AA. If the second set of lines rhyme with each other the rhyme pattern would be AABB. If the fifth line doesn't rhyme a C would be introduced and so on.

The number of beats in each line is called the meter. "Iambic pentameter" is the most commonly used. Words with this type of beat consist of a short pulse followed by a strong pulse. Examples would be arrest, domain, forsooth, etc. The accent is on the second syllable.

Time for the fun stuff! When you tell stories or write letters, how do you start? Is it maybe something you overheard, or read about? Or maybe something you witnessed? Start with something that is comfortable to you.

Think of what type of poem you had in mind. Will it be a story, a comment, a character study? It is best to skim through some examples to get you started off. It is also important to take breaks like going for a walk or to bed. When you come back, jot things down. It does not have to be orderly.

It may take many weeks or months to get your poem finished. If your having trouble, take a break. When you come back, carry on from the last line in your poem. You will be delighted at what comes out. - 30520

Where Did The Tradition Of Giving Flowers Started

By Paul Scott

No tradition helps in communicating human emotions in a better way than gifting flowers or bouquets. People often go to a florist to buy flowers for all occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, to congratulate someone, to apologize, or just to make a person happy.

It is believed that this custom has origins in prehistoric traditions whose conclusive proof has been dug up by excavators at excavation sites. History, legends and folklore going back to ancient China, Greece, Rome and Egypt display flowers to be an undeniable part of social customs. Gifting flowers was considered the best means to communicate one's thoughts in these cultures. The ancient Greeks even considered some flowers to be associated with divinity.

The Middle Ages saw a furtherance of this custom, and France and England were chiefly responsible for transferring this legacy down the ages. The present custom of giving a specific significance to each flower was imported to the West from Turkey, from where the French and the British acquired it and disseminated it in Europe.

Flower giving gained much significance among the Victorians who widely indulged in this custom. As blatant expression of emotions was considered objectionable during the Victorian period, the genteel Victorians cultivated great restraint in language and they compensated this control over language by their gesture of gifting flowers to convey feelings.

This period saw the formulation of guidelines for gifting flowers or bouquets that we still follow. For instance, a bouquet of red roses bought from a florist would generate a rather hostile reaction form your beloved if you gifted it to her upside down. The reason being that while red roses stand for love, gifting them upside down symbolizes resentment. These ideas were so in fashion that in the 19th century, several books on the language of flowers were published and widely read.

Time has not been able to erode this tradition, and people in the present times still consider flowers to be the most effective means to express their emotions. Through gradual evolution over the years, we have arrived at a stage where a lot of flowers now have some significance and gifting flowers or bouquets has to be done according to certain rules and regulations. Gifting red roses is still considered as a passionate demonstration of love, and white lilies are believed to represent purity and beauty. A lone marigold flower is regarded as an expression of grief, on the other hand friendship is best expressed by a yellow coloured rose.

Once, only specific flowers could be grown only in specific zones or terrains, which is not the case in this modern age of science and technology. If you are located in Singapore, then a visit to a Singapore flower shop will surely provide you with the best quality flowers, both local as well as exotic varieties, guaranteed to express your emotions to your dear ones in a beautiful manner. - 30520
